Seasonal & Sustainable Modern Irish Plates
Saturday & Sunday Brunch 10AM – 4PM
Aidan Noctor had more than two decades of experience in some of the top kitchens in Ireland from The Shelbourne, to Odessa, Il Segreto, The Unicorn and Dunbrody House before opening the Hungry Duck in 2016 with his film & television producer wife Lesley O’Connor.
The aim was to start by creating a vibrant brunch location with great plates of food. Having achieved that, the time came to complete the evolution of The Hungry Duck. Hungry Duck 2.0 is a modern Irish dining room with a focus on showcasing the best of Irish produce in our seasonal and sustainably focused small plate dinner menu, brunch and lunch. Our dining room is small and designed to encourage conviviality. We want people to come together to eat in a convivial relaxed way, hence sharing tables and small plates. Our menu is design is intended to give our wonderful guests an opportunity to try lots of different plates and produce from native Irish lobster, when in season in our lobster arancini or our blood orange doughnut made with a creme de catalan using a very special vermouth produced in Valentia Island, County Kerry.
The aim of the Hungry Duck is to be a place where people can come, eat well and go on a wine and culinary adventure without breaking the bank. All of our wine & champagne is available by the glass.
